SO I KIND OF WENT OVERBOARD HERE. There are 63 icons here of one Mr. Quatre Raberba Winner of Gundam Wing. Mostly from the latter half of the series (aka from the point he goes crazy and beyond).

If I were to actually make "Fuck You, She's Awesome" icons I would like input on who should be featured in said icons. (And again there will be worksafe options)

Now obviously unpopular female characters that I am already a big fan of will definitely be featured (So there is no need to mention characters like Relena, Mai, Buffy, or Suki), and I will probably also make icons for female characters that I know get a lot of hate even though I am not in the fandoms (think Sakura from Naruto or Orihime from Bleach), and unpopular female characters that I don't necessarily like (Chibiusa, Miaka, or Misa).

My requirement is that they have to either be repeatedly hated (checking hated_character would work) or extremely ignored so that no one cares.

And to clarify, the character needs to be generally unpopular, so a character is generally loved and only a few people in the masses don't like them and most bashing posts are severely reprimanded would not be eligible.

I am willing one exception and that would be if the character is hated by her own created. (*looks warily at Joss Whedon), but I am mostly looking at fandom in particular.)

Also image provided would be especially helpful, particularly if I don't know the fandom that well.

My dear Buffy mood theme, you served me well and showed the many side of me through SMG as Buffy (so yeah totally me. ^_~! BUT WELCOME TO LEVERAGE!

Also have one more episode of Leverage to go. I think Parker and Sophie and falling off the building and the Parker making out with Hardison to mask them trying to get in would be my favorite scenes in the history of ever!

Also one of the nifty things about DW is that I am learning about features that LJ had that I never knew existed. Like I didn't know that when you have the navigation strip on for your own journal and you are reading your flist or reading page that you can filter your viewing to just journals or just communities or just feeds which is pretty neat.

Yeah, I never notice these things til they bite me in the face.

I like making lists, and I feel like I need more picture speaking in this blog, in addition to my still on hiatus picspams (I will get to them though! I have not forgotten), and the fact that I finally got GIMP working on my laptop (I still will use PSP mainly, it is just I needed something on my Mac that could do something that as simple and easy like resize the image.)  I played around and decided to unleash the following list of awesome


I was just going to do a basic picspam for all my favorite female characters, but inspired by my discussion with boosette  about a possible equivalent to the term "bromance", I decided that what I needed to do was talk more about the relationships between women, thus this list was born.  And I realize that it is pretty sad that my primary fannish output lately has been of the picspam variety, but oh well.  This is a good way to let off steam.

This list is extremely subjective, and also does not necessarily mean that the relationship in canon is particularly focal or drawn out developped, some of the couples are given more weight by their source texts then others, one pairing is really just a glimpse of a friendship that I could have loved, had the canon decided to not drive through it with knife.

These are ranked in pretty much alphabetical order, because there aren't enough of these for me to adequately rate them in relation to each other. And lets face it, I am sick of how society rams it down our throats that women have to feel competitive with regards to one another.

Also I did focus mostly on friendships. There are like three friendships here that I do actually ship, but I also accept them as friends. (Femslash ships where most of the appeal is in the fact that I do ship them, or find their interaction is not included, so nothing like Rei/Minako or Azula/Ty Lee or Relena/Dorothy or Buffy/Faith, because that wasn't really what I was trying to go for if that makes any sense.)
